A Burleigh (Burgess & Leigh) Hamilton Platter.

An absolutely beautiful Art Nouveau burleigh platter with lovely colours & both impressed and printed backstamps along with

Rd No 588775 to underside.

It dates from the 1890’s and was made shortly after Burleigh moved to the Middleport Pottery in Burslem, Stoke on Trent.

(They are still based there today.)

Measures approx. 35cm x 26cm - has general crazing and some light staining but no chips or other cracks.

PAIR EXCELLENT SHABBY CHIC ANTIQUE FRENCH METIS UNBLEACHED  LINEN SHEETS UNUSED

This is a superb pair of antique French unbleached metis linen sheets that have never been used and simply stored away in a trousseau armoire.This tight weave strong linen is a wonderful soft creamy buff that is a gorgeous natural shade. This wonderful period textile works just as well in a period interior as it does a more contemporary setting.Each sheet has a fine ladderwork border edge they are a meduim weight weave and are still stiff and new with almost a sailcloth feel.They could make divine curtains or upholstery fabric and this is a good way to obtain a large amount of period linen of the best quality.Each sheet measures:220cms x 300cms.They are still folded and unused, there are some very pale folding lines from storage but they will  remove with a quick launder. ( Or if you are upholstering just turn to the back).There is alomst 3 kilo of linen here and the postage options are below.I have one more pair of metis linen sheets listed in my  other items.
